Issues with email fetching

I've been reading through various threads. I feel like I'm super close. I have a fresh installation of Ubuntu Server 24.04 and osTicket 1.18.2. Forgive me, but I relied heavily on ChatGPT to get the system going with Postfix, Dovecot, etc. I can email to it and read emails via mutt. The system is sending emails out without issue via our Amazon SES account.

The only thing I'm stuck on is having it read the incoming mailbox. I read through the documentation about firing a cron job manually, but feel like my syntax may be off? When I run it, it's suppose to log to an osTicket.log file, but no data. Here are my details:

So when you navigate to the email in the Admin Panel and save changes with the Status set to Enable in the Remote Mailbox tab it saves successfully? If so that means the connection and authentication is succeeding at least, so you can rule those out.

The next step would be the cron job as you’ve explained but you’re a little misinformed on how to verify it’s running correctly. With Ubuntu (Linux in general) you want to make sure you have a cron job like the example shown in our documentation (the RECURRING TASKS SCHEDULER (CRON JOB) section specifically). Once you have a cron job created you can verify it’s running and executing successfully by first setting your Default Log Level to DEBUG and saving changes. Then you’ll want to wait for the cron to execute automatically and navigate to your System Logs (Admin Panel > Dashboard > System Logs) to see if there is an entry labeled Cron Job. When hovering that entry it should say it executed successfully via cli. Once you verify that it’s all good to go.

KevinTheJedi that was it. I had to tweak a couple things in my cron job command, changed to running to nobody, and it pulled the existing tickets right in. You are indeed a Jedi! Thank you so much! Looking forward to 2.0!
