Outbound SMS

Has anyone developed a solution that facilitates outbound SMS messages?

I can't use the carrier gateway method...

create a collaborator on the User's ticket that is his phone number translated into ##########@att.net
Ticket updates via outbound email get converted on the carrier gateway from email to sms.
... becausee we don't/can't know the carrier that each User has (we used ATT mobile as an example above).

Is there a Word Press plugin that converts outbound email to sms?
Something else?

We have no affiliation with Wordpress so I have no clue on that. As far as core osTicket and core osTicket Plugins we have nothing that supports SMS messaging. Other than what you described of using the phone number email method.
