Hi boys

OsTicket seems to be a dead project.

So I think it's time to fork this project and build a new one which will grow faster and better.

Anyone would like to join the idea ??

The first step will be the start of a new collaborative project on SourceForge.

Bye

Andrea

osTicket is not dead

Andrea,

osTicket is not dead by any means. PM me if you wish to contribute to the slow development. :)

6 days later

glad it's not dead, but it looks dead

glad to read it's not dead, but it actually looks like it's dead.

Too bad because there seem to be quite a lot of users, all of them mainly happy but expecting additionnal features.

There does not seem to be any way to facilitate contributors, not necessarily on a regular basis (i.e. joining the dev team) but on a ponctual basis (i.e. ease of sharing a bit of code).

You should consider benefitting from your user comunity.

Regards,

Ronan

At the moment Peter is on (a well deserved) vacation and is looking at the different options he has. When he comes back we will discuss what is the best way for osTicket.

In the mean time anyone who wants to qualify for the development team please let me know. Just to be sure: we will NOT accept just anyone. You can start showing your interest/good intension by helping out as much as you can on the forums. Because there are alot of people asking stuff but only a few who are helping out other.

Furthermore you need to seriously consider if you really want to join the team. The biggest problem is that we all have our normal day jobs and only have limited free time to spent on osTicket. We have experienced people promising alot but in the end turn up with nothing.
