Is there any documentation available on how the LDAP plugin works? If so, could you please provide a link to where I can find it?

    No, LDAP is one of the only plugins we don't have documentation for. No one here used it (nor currently uses it) in-house so no one took the time to write docs for it. It's pretty straightforward though if you are familiar with AD in general.
