Hi guys,
I want an Open Cart customer to be able to login, find his order in his order history, find the troublesome item on that order and then click a "Support" icon to get support.
That then takes him to the OSTicket Open.php page with the order number and item number in the querystring. The page looks up the guy's name, email and the product's name from the Open Cart DB using the information passed in and pre-loads them on the form (a couple of new greyed out form fields are present on the Open.php page).
OSTicket would then insert that information into the DB in custom fields and show it to us (the Ticket Support Staff) in the interface. Then we know what product the customer is referring to, and we know that he did actually buy it from us and not our competitors who doesn't offer such good support.
Since we know the product and the order number we can also send him back a link to the pre-filled returns form on Open Cart if it comes to that.
I've already achieved the first half of this - the Open Cart mods and the modifications to the OSTicket Open.php page. I'd like to engage someone who is more competent with OSTicket to take over with the OSTicket mods if possible. Obviously I'm happy to pay for the changes to be done.
