Multifactor authentication and the Android App

This week I enabled the multifactor authentication for my user account, which works like a charm when logging in via a PC webbrowser.
However, when I try to use the Android app on my mobile, it stopped working and fails to login.
An error message is shown {"status";302,"redirect";"login.php"}

I'm sure it has somthing to do with the redirect to Google Authenticator to retrieve the security code, but how to fix this?

We don't have a mobile app at all. That is made by a 3rd parry with zero affiliation with us. Do not use any 3rd party apps/mods as we did not develop them, we did not review them, we did not verify them, we did not approve them, we do not maintain them, and we have zero affiliation with them.
