Help! Issue with LDAP Authentication and Lookup Plugin on osTicket v1.18.1

Hello,

I'm encountering an issue with the LDAP Authentication and Lookup plugin on osTicket version v1.18.1.

I have installed the plugin correctly and added the LDAP instance. However, I'm unsure how to load or view all the users from my domain. Specifically, I am trying to understand how to confirm the connection with Active Directory and where I can view the users in the panel.

Could you please guide me on how to effectively see the list of users or verify the integration with Active Directory?

There is no directory sync with the LDAP plugin. This means all Users will need to be manually imported (via CSV or copy/paste) or need to be manually created. Alternatively, you can simply let the Users be auto-registered when they login via LDAP. AD Users are considered pre-authorized Users so if they don't exist in osTicket and they login via LDAP the system will auto-register them.

For them to login via LDAP you simply configure and enable the plugin instance, they visit the Client Portal, and type their AD credentials in the Sign In box. Once they submit the login form it will contact AD and verify the credentials. If successful the system will log them in. If unsuccessful it will kick back an Access Denied error.

So I should be able to enter from this login with a domain user without signing in? I created several users, I have been testing and it is not working.

Don’t use the domain just use the username. Also, their email address has to match their AD email.

Of course, it works the same way except they login via /scp.

I am trying to allow users to login via their AD credentials. I tried all the possible solutions but still didnt work. How were you able to solve it?

You are using an outdated version of osTicket. You need to upgrade.
You need to upgrade PHP to a supported version.
With osTicket users/agents cannot have fully numeric usernames.
