As we struggle to get Office 365 to stay working. we do have another mail server we can use. I am having difficulties in getting he mail account to authenticate though.

The mail server has the following authentication options:
server name mail.datacareadvanced.net
Login username of SMTP/POP3/IMAP services must be full email address.
POP3 service: port 110 over STARTTLS, or port 995 with SSL.
IMAP service: port 143 over STARTTLS, or port 993 with SSL.
SMTP service: port 587 over STARTTLS, or port 465 with SSL.

In the osTicket documentation I found it mentions using a prefix and this is where I get confused.

Any guidance on what the settings would be to authenticate incoming and outgoing would be greatly appreciated!!

Incoming would be IMAP or POP3. The more widely used and the latest protocol of the two is IMAP. So based on your provider’s information the host would be “mail.datacareadvanced.net” and port would be “993”.

Outgoing is always SMTP. Hostname would be “mail.datacareadvanced.net” and port would be “587”.

Both options would require authentication which would be the full email address and its password.

    Cheers.
