Hi,

We have an osTicket install, version 1.16.3. It has a cron job that's scheduled to fetch the emails from two Gmail addresses (workspace). Everything worked perfectly until this morning, when we started getting the following error:

Host: imap.gmail.com Error: Can not authenticate to IMAP server: [CLOSED] IMAP connection broken (authenticate) 8 consecutive errors. Maximum of 5 allowed This could be connection issues related to the mail server.

The weird thing is that this error happens only for one of the two Gmail addresses, the other one working perfectly. I am a software developer (but not very experienced at Sys Admin), so would be able to fetch more logs from the server to try and diagnose this.

    For starters you are using an old unsupported version of osTicket. You’d want to upgrade to the latest supported version so that we can further assist you.

    Secondly, that can mean a multitude of things including network issues, authentication issues, problems with the account, etc. I’d recommend going to the email in osTicket, going to Remote Mailbox tab, reviewing all information, and attempting to Save Changes to see if it gives you a more specific error.
