I am creating a new field for the form and want to allow selecting a date and time in the future. Shouldn't the "Allow entries into the future" option enable this functionality?

Yes, it will allow dates and times in the future if that setting is enabled; hence the name "Allow Future Dates".

Oh, you are saying that if you enable that you want to not allow dates in the past? If so, that’s not what that means. The date picker will always allow dates in the past up to today. The setting you are showing is to only allow date selections in the future; it has nothing to do with past dates. If you want to restrict dates in the past you have to modify the Earliest setting. This controls the earliest date a user/agent can select.

Ahh okay, I misunderstood. Regarding the earliest date, how can I limit it to the current day? I can’t seem to find an option for that.
