Call to undefined function ctype_digit()

Hello the team,

I have the following error Excessive errors processing emails for ssl://outlook.office365.com:993/IMAP when it try to fetch emails
After lot of searches, many fixes where applyed, even this one

But it doesn't work better
(Each time I go back to the original version of files)

After enabling DEBUG logs, Mail Fetcher raises
Call to undefined function ctype_digit()

I was able to find nothing about that

My setup:

osTicket 1.18.1
PHP 8.2.18
MariaDB 11

To complete the information

User is created
Ticket is created
Ticket and user are associated
The body of the email is not present in the ticket

Check my reply in your GitHub issue. Essentially the cause of the ctype_digit() error is your PHP install has the ctype extension explicitly disabled. You need to contact your host for further assistance.

With that being said it may not be the main cause of the fetching issues.

The issue came from the missing ctype by default in Alpine PHP
The package was added, and now it works fine

But the strange thing was that it worked sometimes before the package was installed...
The ways of computing are impenetrable 😊
