Your post has seemingly nothing to do with osTicket. Unless you mean the username@gmail.com address is supposed to generate a Ticket in osTicket? If so, you need to configure username@gmail.com as a System Email, configure the fetching information for it (within the Remote Mailbox tab), enable email fetching at the email level (set the Status setting to Enable within the Remote Mailbox tab), enable email fetching at the global level (Admin Panel > Emails > Settings > Email Fetching > Enable > Save Changes), and setup a working/running cron job.
