You are using the wrong hostname...when configuring emails it'd be wise to consult your email provider's documentation for the correct information to use. If you did you would've seen that the hostname for Gmail SMTP is actually smtp.gmail.com; not mail.gmail.com.

Apparently Google doesn't allow private ip addresses for OAuth2. You'll either need a public IP or fake a domain name in local DNS. I believe you can use localhost as well but that means you’ll have to access the site from localhost.
