[Solved] Login page after successfull client log-in

Hello, we are using osTicket 1.17.2.

Since few days logged in client users, can't view their ticket list.
After correct log in, they are redirecting back to open.php with log-in screen.
There is no error prompt, log in debug mode, showing that they are loged successfull.

I found similar problem in the past, with solutions:

Both are applied, without any result. Problem still appear.

I have just tried to upgrade to 1.17.5 version, but it doesn't change anything.

The problem seems to not appear at firefox web browser. Edge, Chrome, Vivaldi are affected

Simply clear all cache and cookies and retest. You can also try incognito/private windows to see.

I did it already. no effect. only in Mozilla Firefox Client could log in

Then it seems like a browser specific issue or something of that nature as it works just fine in other browsers for you. If it wasn't working with any then there'd be a deeper issue but since it is working fine in some browsers it seems specific to the browser/extensions/etc.

But why it only works in Firefox? I'm pretty sure, that when i used it last time as client side, everything was fine from my Chrome. Some browser update made this issue?

Ok, this isn't only browser issue.
I took another notebook, with clean win10, tried to log in from Edge and for some reason, once it return me to login page, second try log me successful.
It looks like session problem. When it log me in, i could use osticket normally (view old tickets, send a new one).
After logout and try to log in again, it send me back to login page.. second try and i am logged in.

Any idea, how to solve it?

Not without being able to debug the issue. I cannot replicate this so I’m unable to pinpoint the root cause.

It sounds like a session issue to me also.
Do you have direct access to your db?

I would look at your ost_session table. (maybe take a screen shot)
Log in and look again to see what gets added if anything.
repeat until you can reproduce the redirect to login issue.
osTicket tries to write them to the database.

PHP by default saves sessions to the servers /tmp folder, but if you have a hosting provider you might need to talk to them.
This can also be overridden by a PHP directive session.save_path

Yes i have, we've got selfhosted osTicket.

As i wrote before, from different notebook i was able to log in from edge, but it was not fully updated windows. After update Edge to the current version 120.0.2210.144, i'm not able to log in from this notebook too.

I'm not sure what is the expire time for session, but for this notebook IP, i've got only one record in osa_session (propably from yesterday) and nothing new when i'm trying to log in.

Still i can successfully log in from Firefox, on both notebooks

I'm not sure is it releated, but since update to 1.72.2, i'm getting emails with "DB Error #1062", about duplicated entry for osa_session table.

I would delete the entry in the data base and see if that helps.

After delete all records for my IP address and try to log in, i'm still getting login screen, but new session record appear in db.

Then you’d simply need to debug the code as we cannot replicate this. I would recommend setting up a test server and a fresh install to see if you can replicate the issues there. If not then you know the issue with the other server's setup and/or database.

So a new session appearing in the DB means that the problem does not appear to be writing the session to the db, so the db and the db user seems fine. Are you running some plugins/extensions in your web browser(s)?

If you are try disabling them and re-test.

IF you are not, then I agree with Kevin.

After install php8.1-fpm and enable it, my problem has been solved.
