Users Cannot Login With Username After Upgrading to 1.17.5

Hello!

I upgraded from 1.10.1 to 1.17.5 and everything seems to be working fine besides the fact users can now only login with their registered email and not their username. They get an "Access Denied" error when logging in with their username. I've included as much information as possible. I'm also not using LDAP (I've seen that come up a lot in this issue).

Agents have no issue using username tp login to /scp/

Server: VULTR
Management: Runcloud
PHP: 8.1

All users with issue are registered

I believe this is due to the fact we don’t allow fully numeric usernames. Add a letter to the beginning of a username that you can test with and see if that lets you login.

Did that change from 1.10? I swear we only had users login with their numeric store number.

Im not too sure but it’s been a thing as long as I can remember (I’ve been here since circa 1.8.x/1.9.x). You might’ve customized the codebase or maybe it was an old bug.
