Add new forms when opening a ticket.

I hope this message finds you well.

I'm currently working on customizing the user experience within osTicket and I'm facing a challenge. I'm trying to implement a feature where, upon selecting an item within a specific help topic, the user is able to add additional input fields dynamically using a button. This functionality aims to enhance the form flexibility and cater to varying user needs.

I have explored several options but haven't found a straightforward way to achieve this within the osTicket environment. I would greatly appreciate any guidance, insights, or recommendations from the community on how to implement such functionality.

Has anyone encountered a similar requirement before, or does anyone have suggestions on how I can proceed with achieving this goal? Any advice, code snippets, or pointers to relevant resources would be immensely helpful.

osTicket does not have the concept of Dependent Forms/Fields; meaning you cannot select a value from a Field and have the system show other Forms/Fields. You can however attach any Custom Forms to any Help Topic so when the User selects the Help Topic it will show whatever Custom Forms you need. You can also disable any of the Custom Fields on the Custom Form via the Help Topic after attaching it to the Help Topic.

With all this being said, Dependent Forms/Fields is on our Feature Request list for future development so stay tuned!
