Is there a way to change the avatar that shows for System Administrator? I would like to use mine instead of the drop down Mystery Man option.

Gravatar. Simply create a Gravatar account with the email matching your admin email, set an avatar in Gravatar, and voila you should see your avatar now. You may need to clear cache/cookies/sessions if you don't see the avatar immediately. You may even need to wait a few minutes.
