PHP Fatal error: Uncaught ValueError: class_alias()

Hello,

I've upgraded to v1.18 - I'm on PHP v. 8.1.23 and I'm getting:

How did you download v1.18? Something looks broken maybe on file upload or something.

Definitely an autoloader issue then. Do you have any other application on the server that uses composer or autoloading? Also, do you have PHP ext-psr extension installed/enabled? If so please disable and remove that extension, restart the webserver (and PHP-FPM if you're running it), and retest.

KevinTheJedi On this server not really, but composer is working and I'm not using composer to install osTicket, I'm using the official zip file.

I was previously on v1.17.2. I tried three times v1.18 with the same result. Now I tried v1.17.4 and it worked without problems, so I guess I'll stay on this version until I have more time to check this out.

I'm on Debian 11.7, maybe I'll try in a few days on Debian 12 with PHP 8.2,...

Doesn’t matter if you used composer to install osTicket or not. If you have other PHP applications using composer or autoloading on the same server then it could cause conflicts with dependencies from both applications.

I am using Ubuntu (granted not sure what version exactly as I’m not near my machine) and don’t have such issues with my setup but of course I’m using PHP 8.2. PHP 8.1 shouldn’t really matter in this case though.

Now I saw you mentioning PSR - I'll check this later and let you know if that helped.

KevinTheJedi I did follow your advice and disabled ext-psr (phpdismod psr && systemctl restart apache2) and installed v1.18 and it's working! Thank you :-) So it was a problem caused by the PSR extension.
