Hi All, I just updated to the latest version 1.18 and was looking for correct guidance for updating the plugins. Is it the same as just uploading the new phars and overwriting the existing ones? Will I lose all of the Oauth config that's already in there? What's the best way to update the plugins? Thank you

The correct way is to always replace plugin files before running the Upgrader. So in this case you'd download the core files + any new builds of plugins that you currently use (or want to use) from our website. You'd backup all current code files and database (just in case). Then you'd fully replace the code files/plugin files with the new ones you downloaded from our website. Then you'd access the system from a browser, login, and run the upgrader.
You should not lose existing data for any existing plugins. Our upgrader should properly handle the existing data as needed.
Cheers.

Oh! Did I miss that in the documentation? I already ran the upgrader but didn't replace the plugins, only the code files. Now i'm on 1.8 already, so what would I do?
Edit: It seems everything is working ok. Maybe i'll just keep in mind on next update to also replace the plugins before doing the upgrade.
If you upgraded from 1.17.x to 1.18.x then there wouldn't be much of a problem as the db changes for the new plugin backend has already been applied with 1.17.x. However, if you upgrade from a version before 1.17.x to 1.17.x or 1.18.x then you'd have issues.
It's not a big deal now, but moving forward just remember to replace any current files first (which includes plugin files) before upgrading.
Cheers.
Could that be added to the upgrade and migration under the upload files section for documentation? I appreciate the help Kevin. I'll just wait for the next release and update the plugins then.
