Issues with Remote Mailbox/SMTP

I´m tinkering around for a while now trying if osticket is feasible for our company so i made a virtual machine running windows installed apache php mysql (all latest versions) i made self signed certificate that works fine i installed osticket what is working fine too. i managed to enable the Oauth2 for authentication via our azure logins and it also works just fine. but im stuck at the attempt to get the email fetching/smtp to work... the authentication seems to work i get a token and all that but as soon i try to enable email fetching i get an error

what as far i can tell could be an issue with our companys firewall to circumvent it i tryed it with a vpn but i get a different error

same goes for the smtp what gets this error without vpn

and the same authentication failed error if i try it with vpn as the email fetching

if there is more information needed please let me know and i will try to provide them

You need to follow this documentation:

Make sure the mailbox itself has IMAP and SMTP enabled. Then make sure you have provided Admin Consent to the API permissions.

Thanks that helped quite a bit. but another error occured

i tried it with empty Mail Folder too but get the same error also tried the translated name that is shown in outlook still the same error...

Even though you provide a folder name I think it still tries to select from the INBOX initially to see if the connection is working. Have you checked if IMAP is disabled on the mailbox? Did you add IMAP to the API Permissions and provide admin consent?

KevinTheJedi the azure setting/ api permissions are like the guide said i checked the imap settings of the email

and im not entirly sure but the sysadmin said it was enabled i also tried it with pop but i got a blank error message

You may need to contact your mail administrator and have them look at the mail logs while you attempt a connection. This should give you more information on this issue. If it’s not reaching the host then you know you have a firewall issues, blocked port, etc. If you can reach it but it’s failing you should see a detailed error in the mail logs.

It took me a while but I did what i should have done much earlier i guess setting up a new VM with Ubuntu setting up everything from scratch, testing it with a api I made on google cloud to have full access during testing. Now everything works like a charm even with the azure stuff.
I just wanted to let you know I realy appreciate all the work you and everyone involved in this Project is putting in to it.
