Hello fellow osTicket users and developers,
I've recently been trying to add a bit more flair and personality to my customer support interactions by incorporating emojis in my canned responses. After ensuring that my database is set to utf8mb4, I was hopeful that these delightful little characters would appear seamlessly. Unfortunately, instead of getting the expected emojis, I'm greeted with the much less exciting "????" in their place.
If there's something I might be overlooking or doing incorrectly, please let me know. But if osTicket doesn't support emojis in 2023, may I kindly inquire as to why? Emojis have become such a standard and accepted form of communication, adding warmth and context to text-based interactions. I believe many of us in the community would greatly benefit from this feature, enhancing user experience and engagement.
I'd appreciate any insights or workarounds the community might offer. If there's an update on the horizon to address this, even better!
Thank you in advance for your time and help.
Chris
