Unable to configure SMTP

I am unable to configure SMTP. My hosting is godaddy with cpanel emails.
Why is it so complicated? There is no simple option to select SSL or TLS. The version I am using is 1.17.4
without SMTP configuration I get a Mime Format issue. Great, I am able to send message without smtp config but unreadable.

SSL/TLS is determined by the port. Have you asked your host for the appropriate SMTP information to use?

This is Cpanel emails. Yes I have the smtp details. The same smtp details works well for other applications like sentrifugo.
a2plcpnl0904.prod.iad2.secureserver.net is the hostname. 993 is the imap and 587 or 465 smtp

They are simply refusing the connection. I would ask your host why it’s refusing the connection. A lot of hosts have SMTP restrictions btw.

Hey Kevin,
I figured it out. I had the email on one server and installation on another. Now that I used an email on the same as installation. it work like a charm.
Any pointers on how to handle if the email server and installation server and different. Please keep in mind its godaddy hosting.

You'll have to contact GoDaddy as they likely have External SMTP restrictions.

Thanks Kevin. I think for sure we can consider this closed for now. I still have issues with emails notifications which are not working as expected but it might not be realated to this thread. Thanks Again
