Issuse with OAUTH and login with email address

Running OS 17.4 on Debian with Apache2.
Have LDAP setup and working as expected. Added oAUTH, and experiencing the following:
On user login page: (http://helpdesk/login.php) click on sign In link 1st time and it goes back to http://helpdesk. On second attempt I am able to login as a user. How would I troubleshoot this? I would expect the login to work first time. Again, when logging in using LDAP and not in the new OAUTH login section, works first time as expected. When using Azure, it takes two tries.
Also maybe worth mentioning, that using LDAP i can only use username, not email. In looking at LDAP plugin to authenticate on local AD domain controller, i dont see how to make any changes to the mapping. Any suggestions on this would also be greatly appreciated.

As for the OAuth2 issue it sounds like a session issue. Have you tried completely clearing the cache, cookies, and sessions for the site and retesting? Or even trying a completely new browser or incognito/private window?

I normally use IE due to company policy, just cleared all cache, cookies, etc from chrome, and tried, but got same result. Whats interesting is that i go through azure sign in process and it doesnt show me logged in. Then i click on the Guest User | Sign In button again, and then the OAUTH sign in, and it doesnt prompt for credentials, it just signs me in. Same behavior on both IE and Chrome. I can install Firefox and test there...

IE is no longer supported. We dropped support for that browser long ago. We do support Edge though.

Also, we still need the screenshot I asked for above.

Your environment is very similar to mine, and I do not have the issue that you are describing as far as having to log in twice. Are you seeing anything wierd in your error logs? (php, apache)
