Linux Server: Debian 10
Hosted: GCP
OsTicket Version: 1.17.1
LAMMP
Server: Apache2, MYSQL SERVER, PHP 8.1
This is a new installation, with no other configuration. In admin panel > emails > create new. I created and saved an new email (it is a custom email got from names.co.uk/company email) . Next in remote mailbox for imap filled everything then in outgoing smpt , gave my hostname, port number, authentication is same a remote mailbox. Then saved got a blank screen. no matter what port i give blank screen (when giving this option authentication is same a remote mailbox) but if i give no authentication required it is getting saved but im unable to send emails, tested it.
if you go to this link a user faced a similar problem and the user fixed it by changing SMTP settings in the ost_email_account MySQL table, and manually changing the "0" to a "1" ref: https://forum.osticket.com/d/103100-blank-page-when-enabling-outgoing-smtp-email-settings. I am a complete newbie when to the ssh and to mysql and to the ost_email_account, but for the life of me i dont know which to change exactly.
Also is there anyother solutions I can employee, please explain it as you would to a newbie.
