Local authentication not working

Hello

I am trying to setup oAuth2, currently we use LDAP to authenticate our clients and agents. before doing that, I wanted to ensure that I had a local admin just in case it all goes wrong and I cannot login.

When creating a new agent, i give it admin rights and complete all the required fields. Set the authentication backend as local authentication and then set a password without the email or reset at next login boxes checked.

When logging into the system, I enter the details, the screen quickly shows a verifying icon and then the page resets (clears the user\password box)

Any ideas?

Upgrade to v1.17.3, install the latest builds of any currently installed plugins, and make sure you clear your cache/cookies/sessions and retest.

Thanks, I have upgraded to 1.17.3, opened the system in Chrome incognito mode to alleviate any cache/cookies/sessions issues. Same problem. Plugins listed below

Are there any relevant logs I can explore?

Can you try a different browser/device to see if it's your current browser/device? Are you sure you are typing the right username and password? Can you reset the password again to make sure? Are you sure the Agent's backend is set to "local" or "any available"?

I think I have found the problem and its probably a mis-configuration on my end. I was able to replicate the issue accross multiple machines and web browsers which suggested a problem at the web server end more so than on a client.

Disabling the HTTP Passthru Authentication plugin allows me to login with a local account again. For the moment this will be sufficient for me to achieve what I need to achieve.
