Hi!

We're gearing up to use OsTicket 1.7 at a small university in Eugene, Oregon, US. We love it!

We're using an email account (helpdesk@university.edu) for OsTicket correspondence. We love the data we get when a user fills out the web form. To help this, we'd like to auto respond to emails to helpdesk@university.edu that they should go to http://helpdesk.university.edu(http://helpdesk.university.edu) to submit their request.

I understand that I could do this by simply turning off the email fetching, but I'd like to still allow users to respond to ticket emails to update their ticket. From a user perspective, I think this will be their default action, rather than clicking the link, returning to the website and entering their comments.

Is this possible? To both allow correspondence through this address, but disallow new ticket creation?

Mail Sending: SMTP

Mail Fetching/Receiving: IMAP - Exchange 2007

PHP version: 5.3.10

Operating System: Ubuntu

Got it!

We figured it out. We made a second email account for osticket correspondence. Bingo!
