Upgrading from 1.6 to 1.7 on Centos 6

I was wondering if there are any upgrade guides for 1.6 -> 1.7 for Centos 6.

For those of you wanting to do it an easy way, first download the new package to your windows PC. Then use winSCP to connect to your centos server, and copy over the existing files for osTicket 1.6.0.

My location was /var/www/osticket_1.6.0/ so I copied the files into there, replacing the existing. Then it was as simple as going to osTicket in my web browser and upgrading. I hope this helps others.

Upgrade directions are not really OS specific, as upgrading really is simply copying the files over your old files and running the upgrade script. That being said there are steps that should be taken prior to doing this. (such as backing up your database, etc)
