I am a full-on web application developer, but, am also 100% blind, and, generally make use of forms of assisstive technology when interacting with content, interface, etc - primary software make use of is NVDA from nvaccess.org, running under windows 10 or windows 11 on my primary development machine.

Either way, busy working on becoming form of in-house support tech in terms of their usage of OS ticket, at company work for, and have thus put in place version of OS ticket on my dev machine - it's running windows 11, and, in terms of PHP, I generally work with laragon development environment combination.

The first thing am busy with is trying to figure out best way to tweak interface/elements of OS ticket in terms of accessibility, and thus being able to interact efficiently with it myself, partly in order to then be able to work on system tweaks, customisation, etc., so, just thought might as well ask about suggestions, etc.?

And, current version have in place here is 1.16 - there were issues trying to put 1.17 in place on this machine, running different versions of PHP under apache, etc. - for example, a warning that came up was that it required PHP 8.0 or higher, but, had to roll back from 8.2 to 8.0 before it would even try operate.

Also, know installation guidelines mention running PHP under IIS, but, have worked a lot longer under things like XAMPP, WAMP and laragon, if relevant, and, laragon allows you to sort of switch versions, make configuration changes, etc. on-the-fly.

Anyway, thoughts/starting points?

Unfortunately, we don't have any guides available nor do we provide any assistance with customizations. So you would be on your own on how to add the form elements, etc. I will say that you shouldn't waste too much time on this (unless you really need it) as we are currently working on v2.0 and the legacy (current) codebase will be abandoned.

As for getting 1.17 running you should install v1.17.2 as it includes subsequent bug fixes, etc. Also, PHP 8.2 is not supported yet; we only support PHP 8.1 and 8.0.

    Cheers.

    Thank you

Appreciate your response, and, will look into 1.17.2 again - that was the one initially tried, but, had minor issues during setup process.

Besides that, will chat to technical team leader, etc., about waiting for 2.0 to become available - had actually already mentioned another forum post to them, where saw you mention changes under 2.0 to them, partly since saw you had also mentioned there that there might be accessibility improvements.

    Thanks, again
