Unable to upload logo image

I am getting an error 'Unable to upload logo image. Invalid image file type.'. I have tried png, jpg, bmp and gif but get the same error each time. The file size is the recommended 817x170. I've also tried smaller sizes.

This seems to be related to Version is 1.17.2 as it works in 1.17.

I was able to add that just fine.

Maybe you don't have .png in the filename?

I definitely have .png in the filename. I upgraded to the recent 1.17.3 version and still have the same problem.

Yes, php-fileinfo extension is installed and enabled.
I don't normally use attachments on tickets. I tried to add an attachment and am getting 'File upload error undefined 500'.
I implemented the patch in issue #6495 on github but this did not work for me.

Then that means your browser is sending a MIME type that doesn’t match what PHP sees as the MIME type. We have heavier restrictions on file uploads for security reasons and part of this is checking the MIME type that the browser sends vs what PHP sees as the MIME type so we can better detect malicious file uploads. PHP has built-in methods that scans the file contents to provide a MIME type.

I changed the version of PHP from 8.1.11 to 8.0.0 and this solved both my problems!

That’s so weird. I wonder what the difference is as I run 8.1 with no issues.
