I'm having some trouble configuring OSTicket v1.17.2 and the OAuth2 plugin to work with outgoing email, and I wondered if anybody had a similar experience and was able to get it resolved.
I followed the official instructions to build the Azure App, and it worked perfectly. OSTicket is collecting mail on a schedule, generating tickets, and refreshing it's authorization token correctly.
Unfortunately if I try the same settings with SMTP and click "Save" I receive a "5.7.3 authentication unsuccessful" error message. This happens with both the "Same as remote mailbox" option, and if I attempt to build a new OAuth configuration for SMTP only. Interestingly it does seem to pick up a new token from Microsoft if I do this, but still fails with the same error in OSTicket when I click "Save."
I've had a look through the forum already, and have tried the following:
- Deleted the mail setup completely and re-built it
- Disabled SMTP Auth, waited 10 minutes, then re-enabled it
- Tried to configure a brand new mailbox, instead of using an existing one
Unfortunately none of the above makes a difference at all!
If anybody has any guidance at all then it would be much appreciated.
