Junk Code visible to Client on Email received (Shared Hosting)

Server Information
osTicket Version v1.17.2 (8fbc7ee) — Up to date
Web Server Software Apache
MySQL Version 10.5.17
PHP Version 8.0.26

As I can search this is the issue related to SMTP Configuration. We have O365 Email configured in the same, so need assistance to configure the smtp as that configuration is giving different errors.

You need to install the latest version of the OAuth2 plugin and retest. You also need to make sure you replaced all your code files properly.

Done that OAuth2 Plugin, but facing issue in configuration as still issue coming same.
I have tried with other than Microsoft / Gmail Address, but it still not fixed. If there is any document on how to Configure Oauth for different emails, pls share the link.

The only guides I know of are in the docs.
You might be able to find something someone posted on the internet that has the same problem though.

ntozier I have gone through the document as referred by you. I don't want to implement SSO for OsTicket for all agents, I only need to ensure that one common email which is fetching and sending email should work, so need to know how this is possible. In the meantime, I am also searching more on forum where MIME Issue can be fixed in latest version or not?

That usually only happens if you use Sendmail ie. you don’t have a system email with SMTP configured. If you setup SMTP the outgoing emails should work just fine.

After following up with Shared Hosting Provider, they says that they are not allowing external smtp to be configured if the domain is not hosted with them. Seems to be strange, but this is what they have told. Is there any work around or they are are right?
While Checking with OAuth 2.0, The MS supplier says that if we implement this then all other email ID related to that will impact, which also I surprise.

I’m not your host so I can’t tell you if they are lying or not. I can only speak from our software side of things. If they don’t allow external SMTP then you need to find a new host as that’s not good.

KevinTheJedi Noted, Okay. I didn't mean to anything on Host creditability. I only need solution as of OAuth will resolve this SMTP issue or not for sending email from common email (OsTicket) like Support@abc.com or not. I am planning to do in the mean time with new email and email forwarder to support@abc.com

Since October of this year the only way to send via SMTP through O365 is with Modern Auth (OAuth2). The only way to configure this in osTicket is to upgrade to v1.17.2, install/enable the new OAuth2 plugin, and follow these instructions:

And the only way to do all of this is if your host allows you to connect to an external SMTP server using port 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS).

Last question on this, if I setup O365 OAuth2, but if hosting provider is not allowing external SMTP then it wont happen? Please confirm this. Thanks in Advance

You would be able to use IMAP/POP3 to fetch emails but you will not be able to configure SMTP for outgoing mail if your host blocks external SMTP connections.
