Installed v 1.17 chose english and all the plugins as part of the download
When I expanded out the install files the extensions weren't in the right directory, they were in the root of the zip file so I had to copy them to ./includes/plugins/
I downloaded en_GB language pack, but 1.17 would not let me add it through the web interface so I extracted the contents on en_GB.phar into ./includes/i18n/en_GB, in a folder similar to the included en_US. However the .phar file extracted to a folder called 1.14, presumably the version number it was created for
It then let me choose en_GB as the default language. When logging back in I found that most of the admin panel would not load and apache2/error.log contained errors such as this :
[Wed Oct 19 15:03:43.691755 2022] [php:error] [pid 63426] [client 172.19.96.1:56545] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught ValueError: Path cannot be empty in /var/www/html/help/include/class.translation.php:568\nStack trace:\n#0 /var/www/html/help/include/class.translation.php(352): Translation->load_tables()\n#1 /var/www/html/help/include/class.translation.php(380): gettext_reader->get_plural_forms()\n#2 /var/www/html/help/include/class.translation.php(414): gettext_reader->select_string()\n#3 /var/www/html/help/include/class.i18n.php(576): gettext_reader->ngettext()\n#4 /var/www/html/help/include/staff/settings-system.inc.php(118): _N()\n#5 /var/www/html/help/scp/settings.php(57): include_once('...')\n#6 {main}\n thrown in /var/www/html/help/include/class.translation.php on line 568, referer: http://172.19.100.77/help/scp/settings.php?t=tickets
Which I'm understanding as "There's no entry for this translation" and I'm presuming that OSTicket doesn't fail back to the default language file if there's an entry missing (which would seem the sensible thing to do).
I tried to do a diff on the files in the en_US and en_GB folders but the en_GB files are one translation per line whereas the newer 1.17 en_US file wraps lines at about 80 character line lengths so every file is different with no obvious way of processing the files to match the formatting so that I can see what translations are actually missing.
Is there a en_GB.phar for 1.17 that I'm missing or does it still need creating?
