BAD HEADER in email from osticket 1.17

When osticket 1.17 sends email alerts/notification i get this BAD HEADER ERROR:

X-Amavis-Alert: BAD HEADER SECTION, Duplicate header field: "Date"

It passes on our internal server but i see that Gmail is blocking email due to this error:

i tested sending an email from our osticket mail server (zimbra) and passes without problem, so it's an issue with osticket 1.17

KevinTheJedi i searched before posting as i always do but i must have not get the correct searching keywords, so the solution is to wait for the next version or to compile it from the latest github?

Quick fix mini how-to:
1) download https://github.com/osTicket/osTicket/pull/6296.patch to osticket 1.17 directory
2) apply it with git apply -v 6296.patch

Thanks for that. But when I tried and I have got an error of "error: corrupt patch at line 390"

after upgradeing to 1.17.x (and tried to applying the patch) we got the problem
that mails just contained human-unreadable base64-code within the body...
and also reading mailbox by cron-script is not working anymore, no new tickets are created.
any idea?

define('MAIL_EOL',"\n"); in ost-config.php also does not help.

There are many other updates coming soon. Stay tuned!

Additionally you can try applying the latest commits and pull requests to see if your issue goes away. Just make sure to take a backup of your code files in case you mess something up and need to revert back.

i cant wait any longer, we need to send every email separatly and also forward incomings to another account and paste the content to the system - its a lot of overhead. so i would like to do a downgrade if there is not an update coming this week. can somebody tell me how i cand find out when the last database-structure was made, so which version i can use without changing the database, but just replacing the files on the webspace?

but also i am wodering, are we the only onces that have this problem with this base64 content in the mails?

i upgraded already to the tip of 1.17.x - the last contribution was 18 days ago (or do i look at the wrong place?), i made the upgrade afterwards, but we still see just base64 code inside the email.

Then I am unsure - I cannot replicate this for the life of me. Are you sure you're using SMTP? If so can you check your system logs for any mailer errors?

well, no, smtp was not used. and also the reading mails from inbox was done by a cronjob-script, that also stopped working.
i enabled smtp and inbox-reading in the GUI and now it seems to work as it should.

How I solved:

Download the new path from the below link:

https://github.com/osTicket/osTicket/releases/download/v1.17.1/osTicket-v1.17.1.zip

Copy the zip folder to the OSTiecket server / (or Hosting) and extract the "upload" folder inside the root folder.

You should really download the distro file from osticket.com/download
