Cron.php raises an error after upgrade to v1.17 RC4

Hi,
After upgrading to v1.17 RC 4 email fetching through cron job does not work anymore. It generates an error in the "class.mail.php".

Workaround:
Switching to auto-cron seems to work, but is not a viable option for us.

Did someone got the cron job running with RC4?
Any help or advice would be most welcome...

What version of PHP do you run at command line? / what is your cron job config for this?

Hi ntozier,
Sorry for my late response; I didn't get a notification and was not aware of your post.
As you expected, the cron environment was executed with an old PHP version (I'm in a Plesk environment and was not aware, that the scheduled tasks have an independent PHP configuration). After updating to the final v1.17 and changing the PHP-version to >= 8.x cron works normally again (I didn't check "fix" for RC4).
