I was in my cPanel and ran across a PHP script upgrade notice. So I clicked on it and ran the script. It told me to finish upgrade in osTicket so I went there and ran the Start Upgrade Now. Except it wants PHP 8.0. So I changed the version in cPanel MultiPHP to 8.0. Problem is, on our site, we get a 500 Error on the osTicket page and can't access the Admin Console. So the helpdesk is offline and I can't get it back online until I finish the upgrade. How can I finish the upgrade if changing the PHP version to get past the upgrade checks make the admin console inaccessable! Please help! Thank you so much.
Caught between versions, no back-up, 1.14 to 1.16
You need to make sure the site is actually using PHP 8.0.x. If you confirm that is in-fact working then you need to review your server logs, Apache logs, and/or PHP logs for any related errors.
Cheers.
Thanks for the reply. It was the Slack Notifier plug-in that was causing the error. Know of a fix for that?
That is a 3rd party mod that is not developed by nor maintained by the core osticket dev team. You will need to reach out to the author of the mod directly for further assistance.
Cheers.
