Password Reset once logged in

When I log in with a local account (ldap is broken, trying to fix), it keeps asking me to reset my password. I have tried updating to a complex password (Cx36*&7guh$cuGlz1) , ive tried my other password with different characters at the end. Ive even gone into the DB and manually changed it there with an MD5 hash and every time I log in, it asks to update my password.

How do I stop it from requiring me to reset the password?

Go to the database, go to the staff table, find the staff record, and change change_passwd from 1 to 0.

Hell yeah! thats where i needed to go. Ill remember that for next time.

Just a minute ago i went in and disabled the password complexity plugin and that allowed me to update my password. Not sure if the Password Policy plugin for 1.17 is new but it wasnt allowing me to change my password.

Side note - wasnt working because all the ldap users have "ldap.p4i3" in the backend column. Updating this to just "ldap" fixes.

huh I've never seen that in my DB. Did someone typo while manually updating it at some point?

ntozier That person would have been me and I would have had to go thru and update all the accounts. I did the manual upgrade from 1.15.2 (i think) to 1.17rc without issue. Then re-imported the plugins. Other than having to reset the password to my local admin, hadnt touched the accounts. Its all fixed now though, no issues logging in.

Updating change_passwd had no effect for me. The only way I could get it to work is to disable the Password Policy plugin entirely. I don't use the ldap plugin, so not sure what could be causing it for my install.
