Last night Microsoft blocked IMAP connections. I can still use SMTP, but IMAP does not work. Saw the recent 1.17RC, so I'm trying to set that up but I can't find any documentation.
sjswarts If this is O365 then as far as I'm aware Microsoft aren't completely blocking until October and will just be doing intermittently until then which you can disable.
G'day AdamDempsey, You're totally right. Done that this morning after I posted. After I finally found the option to turn it back on. Supposedly they were not going turn off any tenants that had it in use. Well that didn't happen.
Ah great 🙂 Luckily ours hasn't been switched off yet but going to start some testing with the RC today so prepare for the inevitable.
MS are apparently going around disabling basic auth 'temporarily' just now. If you're affected, you can re-enable it following the instructions at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/exchange-team-blog/basic-authentication-and-exchange-online-september-2021-update/ba-p/2772210
Yeah I tried that method twice before later on in the day typing in "IMAP Basic Auth" and then running the scan produced the right result. Until then it kept saying I didn't have any services disabled. Weird.
