Hi,
I have just moved an existing OsTicket DB from an old server to a brand new server with fresh installation of Ubuntu 20.04 and osTicket 1.16.3. The database was exported and imported into the new server. There was always an issue with the Indian Time zone in previous versions and I am not sure if that has been resolved in the new ones.
There are two issues which I feel are closely related.
Firstly, the ticket time is off by two hours and one clue I gathered is from the Phpinfo on the dashboard. Have attached the screenshot and it shows that IST is interpreted as Jerusalem which also has IST.
I have set the Global Timezone parameter to '+05:30' in mysql.cnf
and 'Asia/Kolkata'
on Ubuntu as well as OsTicket Admin Panel.
How do I get the timing issue back on track?
Lastly, I had to disable 'Collision Avoidance' by setting the duration to Zero because I was getting the 'this action requires a lock' error for every ticket reply and the whole system was stuck. My previous installation had a setting of 3 and it worked fine.
Are both problems related to a single source, the TZ issue? How do I enable the Collision Avoidance feature?
Thanks,
Anand
