We are using 1.12.x version of osTicket.

A strange "bug" appears in Chrome/Brave, while using the internal osTicket editor for ticket replies. If we insert text into the "Post reply" form and then delete it with backspace, the browser's tab crashes (SIGILL) and after a while offers to either leave the tab or keep waiting.
We have observed that this does not happen with Firefox.
We have only observed this with recent Chrome releases and haven't been able to test with older ones. Also, "Developer Tools -> Console" from within the browser does not show any messages.

Any help is appreciated.
