Hi!
I was searching an easy way to auto assing all incoming tickets to me because I'm the only one managing support tickets ;)
And found that a lot of people wants to do this but seems no an easy way to do it.
Well, I managed myself to make a little trick that does not require any code modification and I think that maybe will be useful for others too.
It's so simple:
Go to "Manage -> Ticket Filters" in admin menu.
Create a new ticket with these values:
Filter Name: Whatever you want
Execution Order: 1
Filter Status: Active
Target: Any (or other if you want it)
Filter Rules: Set Rules Matching Criteria: to "Any" and create one rule for "Email -> Contains" with the value .com and adds any other rules you need for each domain extension your customers use.
Auto-assign To: Choose here your name or whatever you want.
Save it and you're ready :)
It would be easier if we can use wildcards on the filter rules, but it seems it's not possible :(
Anyway, even if you have customers around the world (like me), it's pretty possible that you only need to add a few filter rules to match all needed domains. (Changes are most people around the world uses .com domains).
I hope this can be useful for others who needs auto assign tickets.
