Upgrade from 1.15.x to 1.16.1 PHP8 issue

Working fine on 1.15.x. Don't remember the exact version. I believe 1.15.1. Uploaded the 1.16.1 files, and switched to PHP8. I get a 500 Error after switching to PHP8 and refreshing the page. If I switch back to 7.4, the page loads fine, but obviously, it fails the requisite for PHP8.

Prerequisites:
These items are necessary in order to run the latest version of osTicket.
PHP v8.0 or later - (7.4.28) - (Fails on this)
MySQLi extension for PHP - (module loaded)
MySQL v5.0 or later - (10.2.43)

Can provide more information. Linux, hosted externally.

This can be ignored. I found a thread about plugin, but didn't remember using it or password policies. After I enabled logging in bootstrap, it showing an issue with 2FA. Once I updated that, it went fine.

Disable / remove all your current plugins and add them one by one. In my case an incompatible plugin was to blame for the error 500

jokokendil Sorry. I just download the plugins mentioned from the download page and FTP'd them to the plugins directory. That's really it.

Kaplan before being able to deactivate the plugin, now the web can't even be opened and displays an error.

ntozier I'm trying to install and use osTicket 1.16.1 on PHP 8, and the following errors occur:

Warning: ini_set(): A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time in /home/k8102905/public_html/bootstrap.php on line 19

Warning: session_cache_limiter(): Cannot change cache limiter when session is active in /home/k8102905/public_html/bootstrap.php on line 21

Web Server Software : Apache
PHP Version 8.0

I’ve seen that happen when there is a fatal error somewhere. You need to check your logs (general server logs, webserver error logs, PHP error logs, MySQL/MariaDB error logs, osTicket System Logs, Browser Console logs, etc.) for any related errors.
