I would like to know if there are pros/cons about using osticket on linux and pros/cons using on windows.
I ran osTicket on Windows and Linux - but nothing crazy. I get a few tickets here and there. I like to run it on Linux because it feels quicker to me and it's less weight.
Most of the pros/cons are related to the OS, and not the osTicket software. Generally it boils down to what your organization has the knowledge/experience to support.
I find Linux to be generally easier to deal with licensing and Linux based databases to be far easier than full SQL Server (or worse SQL Express) licensing/support.
I am using a very small Linux VM to run my instance.
