Hi osTicket community,
I have something in mind where I could perfectly use osTicket after some modifications.
I will try to get more into php but I’m a bloody starter.
My vision is to use this ticket system for a production floor environment to track issues on machines.
Production is always busy, lazy in writing/logging etc.
So that’s why I would like that person X takes a phone or tablet using osTicket system and Scans his batch (QR code)> this would automatically record the name of the ticket creator. Then he Scans a QR code on the machine > this automatically fills out the department + machine/equipment. Then a video or photo could be taken and optional a brief description could be added. The same method could be use if someone needs any spareparts they could take a pic of the part number and write: need 5 pc and hit send.
What do you think realistically will this be feasible with some coding here ? Does this take a lot of effort/ knowledge?
Also it would be nice to have some kind of dashboard which shows a pool of tickets solved and tickets done by priority.
I don’t expect Someone programming this for me but I always take help I’m more a industrial engineer I’m not that deep into programming. I was able to create the server with osTicket running on it and I bought a book about php will study it the next time.
