http error 500

I copied across all the files in the "upload" folder to my website in the directory where osticket will be and every time I try to access it by going to my website/support-portal (where the files are) it gives http error 500: unable to handle the request

Have you checked the logs of your web server or PHP? it may be related to PHP

there are no php errors appearing on the top of the website or in the error_log file on the wbesite itself however in the osticket directory there is another error_log which does have some information. I have pasted the log at: https://pastebin.com/jWagS6aB for reference website directory is where my website directory is
no web server or suEXEC events are on log

are you able to get to Dashboard? can you share a screenshot?

Your issue is related to the PHP version, You need to be running 7.4

thank you. Changing the php version to 7.4 fixed the problem and now it seems to be working
