Dear All,
I have noticed that my backup file has grown to 15gb, and when I check the system file sizes it looks like the following.

  1. Does the "ost_file_chunk.ibd" file take up mysql dumps?
  2. The purpose of this file (ost_file_chunk.ibd)?
  3. What is the relationship between the ost_file_chunk.ibd and ost_chunk table?

---My osTicket Version---
osTicket Version v1.12 (a076918) — Up to date
Web Server Software Apache/2.4.39 (Unix) OpenSSL/1.0.2r PHP/7.3.5 mod_perl/2.0.8-dev Perl/v5.16.3
MySQL Version 10.1.39
PHP Version 7.3.5

Thanks,
Mohan.

    Huh?
Typically a mysqldump is a dump of a database. If that's how you used the command then yes, a mysqldump it would also have that table in it. If you used mysqldump to only dump a specific table or a subset of the database tables then it would depend on if you passed it that table.

mohankarunasiri The purpose of this file (ost_file_chunk.ibd)?

MySQL created that file. It's purpose is to house the data for the ost_file_chunk table.

What is the relationship between the ost_file_chunk.ibd and ost_chunk table?

    It is the ost_file_chunk table.
There is no such table as a ost_chunk table.
